Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a difficult year, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to win a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.
His retrieving strategy and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted observers to wonder if his ability to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his first tour championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
Moutet defended 4 early opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
